Why do we keep putting these right wing wackos in office? Check out this unbelievably ignorant statement from wolf kill bill “co-author” Rep. Roger Rivard:
“He also told me one thing, ‘If you do (have premarital sex), just remember, consensual sex can turn into rape in an awful hurry,’ ” Rivard said. “Because all of a sudden a young lady gets pregnant and the parents are madder than a wet hen and she’s not going to say, ‘Oh, yeah, I was part of the program.’ All that she has to say or the parents have to say is it was rape because she’s underage. And he just said, ‘Remember, Roger, if you go down that road, some girls,’ he said, ‘they rape so easy.’
This is the insane garbage that these right wing politicians keep spewing. From Rep. “Legitimate Rape” Todd Akin of Missouri to Rep. “The Earth is 9,000 years old” Paul Broun of Georgia. The sad thing is that many of their constituents believe this garbage and keep putting them in office.
Not only does Rep. Rivard favor a war on wolves, but it is clear that he is also a “soldier” in the war on women. Of course I am sure that rural Wisconsin will vote this guy right back into office this November. Read more here:

Ass. Hope they make fodder of this up North and of course you’re right, they’ll still vote for him up there. Tie this in with the wolf bill- war on women and wolves. Pray that Biden steam rolls over Ryan. Regardless if you like Biden or not- Ryan needs to be flattened.

Given this guy’s lack of concern for wolves and the environment it doesn’t suprise me to read his comments about raping women. Just like you I keep asking myself; Why do we keep electing these individuals? Clearly citizens need to be more informed about the candidates they take time out of their schedules to vote for. Hopefully with the wolf slaughter and all out attack on wildlife in general people will see the writing on the wall. We can’t continue to support politicians who think animal abuse and killing is acceptable behavior. Usually that kind of mentality means that this person doesn’t have much respect for other humans either.
