Facing the prospect of being recalled Wisconsin Republican Senator Pam Galloway resigned her senate seat today. This now makes for a 16-16 split among Democrats and Republicans. Not that this will make much of a difference for our wildlife considering that both sides sold the wolf out, but it is a start. Galloway was one of the 24 senators who voted for SB 411, the bill that authorizes a wolf killing season to start this October. She was also a supporter of anti-wildlife initiatives such as AB 311/SB 226 that authorized hunting and trapping in ALL public land including state and county parks, and allows hunting and trapping to be taught in public schools for credit.

WE VOW hopes that she is replaced by someone who speaks for all citizens and not just the vocal minority who has dominated our wildlife and public lands since Wisconsin became a state.
