Finally, the HSUS has put out an action alert asking Gov. Walker to veto AB 502. Please use one of the below links and take action. Also ask him to veto SB 226 the legislation that allows hunting and trapping on ALL of our public lands, and allows hunting and trapping to be taught in OUR public schools for credit.
From the Humane Society of the United States:
A bill is on Governor Walker’s desk that calls for an out-of-control wolf killing season.
Ask the governor to VETO AB 502»
Stop Extreme Wolf Killing
Legislation (AB 502) has just passed the legislature and is heading to Governor Walker’s desk. Wolves were just removed from the endangered species list, yet this extreme bill completely oversteps responsible state management. Under this passed bill wolves may be shot and trapped over a long season, and killed night and day using packs of dogs, spotlights, snares, and bait.
Please make a brief, polite call to Governor Walker at (608) 266-1212 and ask him to veto AB 502, an extreme overreach that does not balance the interests of Wisconsin citizens. Remember to send a follow-up message. Thank you for all you do for animals.
