Please exercise your citizen right to elect delegates to represent you in nature and wildlife policies tomorrow night, Monday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in every county. Dane county location (see attached poster) is at the Middleton High School Performing Arts Center. Come early – the first order of business is the election of two delegates. Any resident (bring I.D. to give your home in Dane – you can vote in any county on the issues AT ANY AGE – but have to be 18 or over and live in that county to elect delegates. So bring your kids for a civic lesson and have them vote against the crane hunt! It is question number 69. We are also running a resolution to be voted on at the END OF THE NIGHT (so please stay to learn how policies are made in WI) – and one is to reverse the wolf slaughter statute. We will be offering that resolution in at least 5 counties.
We have women (where are the humane upstanding men?) standing for election in Dane, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Marinette counties that I know of. So if you know people across the state who care about life – who care about peace – who care about cranes, wolves, mourning doves and a living world – network my column to them – and our new web site where they can find posters and the locations in all counties: http://www.wiwildlifeethic.org . Please network and COMMENT on the column today:
See you tomorrow night in Dane and good luck in all the counties! We have a resolution against the wolf kill bill to vote on at the end of the night when citizen resolutions are voted. It is important to be there for the beginning because the first order of business is the election – then the questionnaire – then the resolutions. Come and learn! LET ME KNOW YOUR STORIES FROM THE ELECTION IN YOUR COUNTY! I am doing a follow up column next Sunday to tell your stories and the election results! Thanks!
For LIFE!
Patricia
