This is a Sample of What is Coming For Wisconsin Wolves This Fall

05 Aug

In Patricia’s column this week there is a link to an absolutely horrifying video where some sadists are tormenting a wounded coyote in Nebraska with dogs. They even kick the coyote and cheer as their dogs rip at and pull the wounded coyote. This is absolutely disgusting and these people fit the exact definition of a psychopath that our post featured the other day. This is what is happening now to coyotes in Wisconsin and will soon be occurring to wolves. Watch this video and try to say that this is not legalized dog fighting.

I contacted the authorities in Nebraska and I am waiting to hear if they consider this to be legal and “ethical” behavior. The comments that follow the video are just as disturbing. This is what the thugs who made this video said in their description:

“This is a video of our crew hunting coyotes in Nebraska on a beautiful Saturday. This a wounded coyote that was shot, so we let the dogs fight it a bit for “to get back on track” since the begining of the year, thus the dogs would better track the coyote in the future in the season. This is a beautiful coyotes. We usually dont kill the good, hardy coyotes. We kill the coyotes with the disease mange (a disease that the coyotes looses all of their fur and freeze to death) This was just to get the dogs on track. Usually, if the dogs run a healthy coyote down, we’ll let it go with just a few scratches. If you have any concern, questions, or comments, please comment below. God bless.”

Then there is this gem about how much he “respects” coyotes:

“i know where are your coming from though and i repsect your bias a 100% we do this so the dogs can ‘get back on track’ as i said in the description. the guy kicked the coyote so it would run so the dogs could get more time. this is by far the grusome part of what we do. we only so it once a year. We respect the coyotes and foxes and other beautful animals to the fullest. i will make diffrent video’s this winter to show what we usually do and how much we resepct them.”

What a humanitarian. Why does our society tolerate what to any sane person would be the behavior of complete and total psychopath? But remember he is going to make a video this winter to show how he “respects” these animals. Please contact the Nebraska Game and Parks Division and ask then how this behavior can be legal. Apparently Wisconsin is not alone in using dogs as weapons. Here is the link for their “contact us” page.

You low down scum. This is Draconian. You laughed, and let that dog feel pain that is undescrible. You do not need dogs to hide your lust for blood. I a going to fight this legalized dog fighting. Lord God vengence is yours, but look down on this sport as murder of your creatures and hand out what punishment is needed to those who participate. They carefully skirted the issue. How can they know the healthy from the unhealthy.

It takes a “brave” man to kick a coyote after it’s been wounded then attacked by those damn dogs. Those dogs I could kill in a heartbeat. This is typical behavior of Nebraskans and others in the Midwest. I came from South Dakota originally so i know some of the back home mentality of those people. If the people of one South Dakota town I visited were wondering what the big yellow sign with a Y on it meant then how do you expect them to be kind to animals….

Oops never mind, don’t report it, we need everyone to see the horror of what’s going on – I just got too upset to think for a moment – Sorry!

Yes – do not report these things. They disappear and the public does not get to know what is going on. This was the very first video I looked at – there were others probably worse. But if the public goes to the link and there is nothing there – they do not see what they have been willing to close their eyes to for years. Part of the problem is that the general public finds it so “distasteful” to look at trapping and hounding and the cruelty of hunting, that they certainly do not seek it out. So getting them to look is part of engaging them to end it.

The fact that these people think this is normal is because of the glorification of sadism and recreational killing in the outdoors pages of the newspapers. Venting here is fine – but real action involves editorializing to the Wisconsin State Journal and Milwaukee Journal Sentinele that their outdoors pages are cruel and imbalanced and do not serve the interests of the general public. That we need LIVING wildlife reporting like the Madravenspeak column so that a wider audience has informed choices, knows of the hidden annual 80 years of election that are supposed to be PUBLIC, held in April, and only attended by hunters and trappers.

Wildlife Ethic is looking for citizens to run for election in EVERY county next year. There are TWO positions open in every county. The election is held conveniently in your county and the next one is the second Monday in April (April 8th, 2013) at 7 p.m. It is literally four meetings – two of them in your county to schmooze with the good ole boys, and one in Steven’s Point for a committee. ( I served on the trapping committee.) And the annual meeting is held in May, after the election, to decide what to kill next year. So it is very little time for the power to set agenda and delegates can vote any way they want on the issues. Next year will probably be the tundra swan and seagulls targeted.

Please let us know if you would like to run as one of the two candidates in your county. 72 counties -we need 144 people to step up. I did it in Dane as the first ever elected (in then 65 years) to protect wildlife. Much of the legislation is engendered in this sole advisory to the DNR that is supposed to be representative of the general public but has just been a killing lobby.

Help us change that! I can be reached at 608-981-2287 to answer your questions about running as a candidate. There is a 2-year and 3 year position up for election every year. You can be nominated by a friend on the floor of the election and it is the first order of business at 7 p.m. in every county. You can run all year and collect pledges from people to come to vote for you that night only. No absentee voting, of course – since they have hidden it for so long. Please RUN and help our wildlife! Thanks. Patricia (I write the Madravenspeak column.)

I personally follow the hounders up here in Wisconsin, I strongly believe in getting personally involved at the point of the killing as much as is humanly possible, I sport a $4,000,00 DSLR and have deployed thousands of dollars worth of trail cameras about the blue hills, this is done specifically too film the dogs, and their handlers as they rampage after bear up here, you folks have seen nothing of their true depravity, I intend to make many contributions to the media this year, especially after the wolf killing begins in earnest.

Also, this is why I go about armed as I gather imaging of these murderous creatures enjoying themselves….I assure you, the “sport-killers” in that clip, would not hesitate to do exactly the same thing to a human being, I have no doubt that they would greatly enjoy loosing those Goddamn hounds on humans if they could get away with it!

BTW, you should be contacting the state, and federal wildlife authorities, those boys are all guilty of felonies, and thats the one good thing to emerge from their grotesque bloodlust, they will all face jail time, fines, and a loss of their ability to hunt/fish for ten years….

        Always get involved, always!

You are right. This is happening in WI. Bars/taverns have coyote contests. Kill a coyote & get a free drink. Kill the most coyotes & you participate in a drawing for a free gun. Rod & gun clubs have Varmint Hunts. Kill a crow & you get a certain number of points, a raccoon more points & a coyote even more points. The 2 man/woman team with the most points wins. Those establishments need to be boycotted & called out on supporting this thrill killing. This sort of sadist recreation has gone on too long in WI.

Patricia – I wish that I did live in WI. I would run in a heart beat. Good luck to all who intend to run, lets get some good old tree hugging liberals running (@ least that’s what I am) & protect the wildlife that was intended to be here.

And – that is not just a wounded coyote – but a coyote that has been shot so that he cannot get away or defend him or herself from the men or dogs. You can imagine what happened to the coyote after they stopped filming it.

Please help us organize. We are the majority and if we network quickly, we can change things. Wildlife Ethic asks each of you who read this and the Madravenspeak column to consider running for election in your county next spring April 8 when the so-called Conservation Congress and DNR hold their annual OPEN TO ALL OF THE PUBLIC ELECTION. We had enough people in Dane County attendance this year to elect delegates, but they did not realize that it was an ELECTION. They came to vote on the issue of crane hunting – but it is NOT an ISSUE-driven event – ALL OF THE POWER IS IN ELECTING DELEGATES EVERY YEAR. All of the delegates (360- which is five from each of the 72 counties) are from the rod and gun clubs. We can change that quickly if we network, but we need people to step up to run as candidates in each and every county. We would like to start that process now.

Contact us for more information on this or anything and please join our membership!

If our law makers don’t care about stopping this on animals, imagine what they think of you? They can’t have a conscience. If you wnt things to change, we have to start by VOTING OUT the current pieces of crap that run out cities, states and COUNTRY, and start with new, fresh people. This is sick and I hope for every one of them, for KARMA to come after them 10 fold.

I cannot watch the video – I am angry without watching the video, I mean really angry ……. I can’t watch a video of a poor animal getting ripped apart or for that matter any animal getting tortured.

These freakin sadists think they are doing coyotes a favor! They talk about how much they respect coyotes as the inbred POS kicks the coyote in the head so the dogs can continue to attack him.

rali- yesterday I recieved a notice from the DNR on their Voluntary Public Access Program. This is a paid/ per acre deal where you allow trapping, hunting, fishing and wildlife observation on your land. Funding is from the 2008 Federal Farm Bill. $ paid are 3/acre for ag land, Grassland and wetlands,10/acre, forest 15/acre. Lease lengths are 5 yrs. I am fuming because they are also opening up the CRP and other conservation programs lands. I will call the DNR tomorrow and ask why this is happening. This is very hypocritical because you have to stay off of these lands and not disturb them. I’m enrolled in the CRP and I’m posted. They must be hurting for $. The top third of Wisconsin is not involved, maybe because of the tribes. Also, Earthjustice is planning on sueing Minnesota if the state goes full throttle with is plans. They sent me an e-mail last week. Have you heard about any lawsuit here?

Bobette-My sources in the HSUS have told me that a lawsuit in Wisconsin in imminent. There are several groups involved.

Their goal is to open up every square inch of this state to hunting and trapping even private property. George Meyer said as much. These sadists are out of control and the populace are letting them get away with it.

I will gladly contribute to any lawsuit pending. HSUS uses Earthjustice lawyers. I’m so mad I can’t get anything done. And now this shooting in Wisconsin. When will the public revolt?
