Bear Hounder Shill Whining That They Cannot Kill Wolves Without Dogs

Just when I thought that I have read and seen it all along comes bear hounder lobbyist and kill everything shill, Bob Welch, whining that would be wolf killers won’t be able to kill wolves without dogs. Check this out:

“Bob Welch, executive director of the Wisconsin Hunters Rights Coalition, an organization that was active in lobbying for the season and also in authoring the legislation creating the hunt, said hunters who cannot use dogs won’t kill wolves.”

“I think it would be very unlikely you’d even get one,” Welch said.

Really, Welch? Really? Then how did poachers kill so many wolves over the past decade? How do the wolf slaughtering states of Montana and Idaho have so many wolves massacred each year? I thought wolves were everywhere decimating livestock, deer, and stalking kids at bus stops? If they are so abundant shouldn’t they be easy to find without dogs?

These bear hounding slobs are so lazy that they just cannot fathom the idea of going after something without their trucks, ATVs, or GPS collared dogs. Come on Wisconsin. Are you really going to keep letting these unethical slobs and their benefactors dictate wildlife policy. The article later sums this up best:

“As for differences between Wisconsin and Minnesota on the issue, Niskanen (Minnesota DNR) said Minnesota does not have a strong hound-hunting tradition such as that found in Wisconsin. Indeed, one of the most vocal groups in support of the Wisconsin wolf hunt was the Wisconsin Bear Hunters’ Association. Almost all bear hunters use hounds to track their prey and force it into a tree.”

The article should the mention what happens after the hounds tree the bear. They left out the part about blowing the bear out of the tree and letting the pack of dogs rip it to shreds. Tradition my ass. At leaset the article mentioned that the hounders wrote the bill. These slobs are a minority within a minority and are despised by the vast majority of ethical hunters and the population at large. Here is the article. Please leave a comment after it.

Advocates say dogs essential to wolf hunt’s success

I read that in this morning’s WSJ and cut it out. Also check out Wolfwatcher they have some new info about Michigan and they feel the Humane Societies’ lawsuit will stick. I wish there was someway we could get a % of Wisconsonites against the hunt.

So, how is it that Montana & Idaho have managed to fill their quota killing wolves without dogs?

Montana has not filled it’s quota- they say. Trappers are numerous. If you want more info go to Footloose Montana. Idaho will kill everyone of the wolves if allowed. Those people are mouthfoaming bloodlusters. I read the Missoulian and the Idaho Statesman everyday and to be honest, I don’t think they know how many wolves are out there. Hard to know what is going on in the Rockies but according to the wolf bloggers, it ain’t pretty. I can get some numbers for you.

Tracker -this is what I have found so far-IdahoF&G 2011-2012 -255 killed by hunt and 124 by trapping. Limit not met by 65. Updated 2012 so far as of Sept.6-4 by hunting.
Season opened Aug.30. Trapping starts in most of Idaho Nov.15. Montana-update as of Sept.9- 1 by bow. Season opened Sept. 1. Montana has increased it’s tags and season, I believe. I saw a better breakdown where in last year’s count there were 40 puppies killed in Montana. I’ll search more later.

Wisconsin Wolf Hunting with Hounds Should Shame Wisconsin Hunters
When did the Hunters Code of Ethics become the Hunters Code of Silence?
As a *Hunter *you are painted with a very broad brush. Your silence on the issue of this Extreme Wolf Hunt makes you as culpable as the Extreme Hound Hunters and Lobbies who helped get it passed into Law. You have allowed yourselves to be intimidated by statements from Hunters Rights Groups stating that *those who oppose are just after your rights as a hunter*. They warn you to all stand together.
I would think a greater risk to your rights as a hunter now comes from the fact that the public is paying a great deal of attention to the atrocities and cruelties that are happening in our woods (committed by a few but condoned by all) under the cloak of something called *Sport Hound Hunting and Hunters Rights.
Yes, there are certain rights that belong to the Wisconsin Hunting Tradition. But with those rights come a responsibility to not cross the line into pure animal abuse. Pride, ethics, strength of character and sportsmanship in the Wisconsin Family Hunting Tradition all went out the window with the passage of this law and the silence from the rest of the Hunting Community. There used to be a Hunters Code of Ethics, there used to be a promise of Fair Chase and there used to be a standard held high by most hunters that they respect the animals they hunt. Out-right cruelty to both wildlife and hunting dogs has no place in Wisconsin. Bear Hounding is a brutal sport. Coyote Hounding is a brutal sport. And now they want to crank that brutality up a notch by pitting their hounds against the wolf. It is an affront to our great State of Wisconsin and should have brought shame and not silence from the Wisconsin Hunting Community.

“While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal positions on this earth?”
    George Bernhard Shaw

People need to vote unacting dumb authorities and officials acting irresponsibly for futuregenerations and their wildlife out of occupations NOW AND FOR ALL!
