Patricia Randolph’s Madravenspeak: Come January, state parks no longer safe

11 Nov

Please read and comment on Patricia’s new column. There has been quite a few kill everything anti-wildlife trolls who have been posting on the columns and trying to bully living wildlife advocates, so either ignore them or respond with FACTS. Even though they deny those facts others read them. Do not let them bully us. Regular readers of the column know who these trolls are.

Patricia, you are absolutely right on this issue. Like the majority of visitors, I purchase my state parks sticker every year to enjoy the peace and solitude of nature. I know to stay out during the late November hunting season at the few parks that give hunters access. However, I will not stand for turning the parks into killing fields 7 months out of the year. I will do everything in my power to preserve my right, and my families, to visit our state parks without having to worry about getting hit by an errant shot, or maimed by a misplaced trap. It’s an outrageous abuse of the hunting lobby’s power in our state government. Count on my support.

I would like to attend and speak at the hearing tomorrow in West Allis. Could someone please enlighten me on exactly how this changes things for people (myself and family) who do use the state parks, primarily in the southern half of the state. There is so much confusing information and dates and maps, etc. I’m finding it difficult to formulate a coherent statement.
      Thank you

Who the hell is Mike Maroney? He’s Kurt Thiede’s boss-the deputy secretary for the DNR….I wonder where Walker pulled him out from? Like I commented on Patricia’s column- this extreme agenda of using hounds to hunt mammals and opening up State Parks to the trapper/sadists thrill killers does not reflect the values of the majority of US citizens……By the way- doesn’t Wisconsin have a Democratic Party? You can elect an openly gay female senator but you can’t protect your wildlife from the 5% of the population that wants to kill everything in the State? I don’t get it

I am thankful this Thanksgiving day for Patricia & Rali who are so committed to WI wildlife. Sometimes it must seem like a daunting task. It takes broad shoulders & requires one to step outside of their comfort zone to do what you are doing. Any of us who step up to the plate & speak up for what is right have faced being ostracized for doing the right thing. We must all help Rali, Patricia & all the others who defend wildlife to fight the good fight. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you Diane. I am so glad that there are people out there like you who share the passion and care as much as we do. I got word that there may be some major repercussions against at least one of the wolf killing sadists in the videos that I posted. I will post more later in the week.
