As much as I would love to delve into the mixed bag ruling that Judge Anderson handed down today, I cannot because I am going out of state in the morning. However, even though this was only a partial “victory” today we must realize that Judge Anderson essentially made the only decision that he could based on the archaic laws in place that allow for legalized animal fighting and cruelty toward wild animals. We cannot blame the judge for ruling the way he did. If this lawsuit did anything it pointed out to the DNR and their hounder puppet masters that we are watching. When more people find out that Wisconsin has the dubious distinction of being the only state that allows hounders to use dogs against wolves the backlash will be massive. The pendulum will swing back our way and once it does the hounders and their allies will rue the day that they decided to legislate legalized animal fighting. This is not just for wolves but for all of the animals that dogs are used as weapons against. The hounders and the kill everything groups just cannot understand that their actions are turning more and more against their “sport” and only hastens the demise of “recreation.”
More on this over the weekend.
