Today Senator Fred Risser announced that he will be introducing legislation that would ban the use of dogs against wolves in Wisconsin. Of course following Risser’s announcement wolf kill bill “author” Rep. Scott Suder (R-ALEC) made it very clear that he would obstruct this legislation:
Rep. Scott Suder, R-Abbotsford, was the chief sponsor of the bill that established the wolf hunt. He serves as Assembly majority leader and plays a huge role in deciding what legislation makes it to the floor for a vote. He said during a telephone interview Monday that Risser’s proposal will probably go nowhere.
“To totally eliminate an entire privilege that is out there for sportsmen, it goes too far,” Suder said.
Funny, the Hobbit of Abbotsford has no problem eliminating the benefits of state workers and poor people, but gets offended when a “privilege” is taken away from so called “sportsmen.” Cutting benefits for workers and poor people doesn’t go “too far” but attempting to stop legalized dog fighting does. Polluting vast swaths of the northern part of the state as a gift for a mining company doesn’t go “too far” but this does. If you are so right in what you did Suder why not let it be voted on to affirm who the real sadists in this state are? Please contact your legislators and demand that this bill be heard. One Year Anniversary of WE VOW
Last year at this time, I had just launched this website with the hope of starting to fight back against the war on our wildlife and the sadism that occurs on our lands daily in the state of Wisconsin. Patricia Randolph and I had been kicking around the idea of forming a group that would work to organize and educate people as to what was really happening to our wildlife under the guise of “conservation,” “heritage,” and “recreation.” Patricia had been fighting this battle singlehandedly for a very long time while I had always been a “silent advocate.” That all changed when I learned how truly sadistic and hateful hounders, trappers, and some hunters are in this state and across the country. I knew that I had to do something and that is how this site was born. While we have so much more planned for WE VOW such as non-profit status, and a redesign of the admittedly primitive website, our goal is and remains educating people and providing a safe place on the web away from the abusive anti-wildlife trolls that have taken their bullying to a whole new level in the past year. But far more needs to be done.
While we have helped educate and mobilize people to write letters and be watchdogs of the bought and paid for DNR, we need to take that to a new level. We need you to tell anyone that will listen what is occurring in Wisconsin with our wildlife and how our state has been taken over by the sadistic killing cartels that pull the strings of the DNR and our legislature. Share it on Facebook and other social networking sites. Make them aware that Wisconsin is the ONLY state in the country that will allow packs of vicious dogs to be used against wolves. If they are thinking about vacationing here ask them to consider other options. If you have any contacts in the national media implore them the urgency if the situation and ask them to publicize what is going on here. Finally PARTICIPATE. Attend ALL Natural Resources Board “hearings” and make your voice heard. Attend the dubiously named “Conservation Congress” elections on April 8th in every county in the state and make your voice heard. These functions have long been dominated by the “good ole boys” and the killing cartels and have attracted little public scrutiny. But guess what? These elections are for EVERY citizen in the state not just those intent on killing. Find your local election location here:
We need to be there in force because you know the hounders and their allies will be.
Finally I wish to thank all of you that have been there from the beginning and helped us with your generous donations and kind words of encouragement. We are just getting started and this year we take the fight to them.
