On May 11, 2004, the website of the militant group Muntada al-Ansar posted a video with the opening title of “Abu Musa’b al-Zarqawi slaughters an American” (Arabic: ابو مصعب الزرقاوي يذبح امريكي), which shows Berg being decapitated. Al-Zarqawi had an association with the jihadist group Al–Qaeda, as does Muntada al-Ansar. The video is about five and a half minutes long.
Berg is seen in the video wearing an orange jumpsuit. He identified himself: “My name is Nick Berg, my father’s name is Michael, my mother’s name is Susan. I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in West Chester, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia.”
The video shows Berg surrounded by five men wearing ski masks and shemaghs. A lengthy statement is read aloud. The masked men then converge on Berg. Two of them hold him down, while one decapitates him with a knife. A scream can be heard as men shout “AllahuAkbar“. After the head is severed, one of the men displays the head to the camera, then lays it down on the decapitated body.
: the use of violent acts to frighten the people in an area as a way of trying to achieve a political goal
:systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective
When it comes to wildlife and environmental advocacy our opponents never hesitate to throw around the word “terrorist” when describing any kind of protest or activity against their behavior or beliefs. Take for example the inflammatory words used by former Rep. Scott Suder (R-ALEC) and Sen. Tom Tiffany (R-GTAC) when describing the actions of ONE criminal protestor at the proposed Penokee mine site.
Senator Tom Tiffany has responded. He calls the protesters eco-terrorists — people who resort to extreme measures, in the name of protecting the environment.
“They said ‘we will be back, and we will be back with more people.’ I can tell you, as a legislator, I take that very seriously,” Tiffany says.
So if one loud mouth hippy is a “terrorist” then what do you call those that kill something for a political statement? The Wisconsin DNR may call them a “conservationist” but I call them what they are” ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISTS.
As with the story about Nick Berg above, wolf haters seem to act in the very same manner to make a political statement. Just as with the Nick Berg beheading wolf haters love to take pictures of trapped and suffering animals before they kill them. Then they like to pose with the dead animal after the execution. But not to be outdone they feel the need to rush to hate sites like the Wisconsin Wolf Hunting page on Facebook to spread their pictures of bloodlust for the whole world to see. What happens after a jihadi beheads someone, like Nick Berg, as a political statement? They also run right to their hate sites to spread their carnage all over the world.
So what word describes this behavior?
Then after the execution:
This is what a REAL environmental terrorist looks like. Read the posts and comments on the anti-wolf hate sites. They always brag about killing animals in the most horrific ways and sprinkle in anti-government, misogynistic, and racist rhetoric to go along with their anti-wolf garbage. That is the very definition of terrorism: killing to make a political statement and spreading fear. They certainly don’t hesitate to take swipes at “libtards” or “tree huggers” and threaten “open season” on those that disagree with their twisted world view. If that isn’t making a political statement with their actions what is? How about photos like this with the caption of “Splat” posted on the Wisconsin Wolf Hunting hate page?
Yup, it’s all about “conservation” and “putting food on the table” isn’t it? What kind of monster finds this humorous? Plenty do and they reside on the anti-wolf hate pages that plague the internet much as the anti-Western jihadi terrorist pages do. Killing and death is all a joke and a grand old time for wolf haters and jihadis alike. At least the jihadis pretend that they have a religious angle for their sick terrorism. What angle do the wolf haters have?
It’s time wildlife advocates stop attempting to negotiate with these terrorists and fight back. The media is finally paying attention to the sick and brutal sadism going on in this state and it is time for the rest of our supposedly civilized society to stop coddling, tolerating, and glorifying these sick monsters. Wisconsin this is the monster you created:
So if a loudmouth hippy is a “terrorist” in the eyes of rightwing corporate hack politicians what do you call this thing above and the hate page he so proudly posted his kill at? Wake up Wisconsin and call this wolf hate what it is: environmental terrorism.
