Comment Rules

For those that comment on this site:

This is not a place for hunters and trappers to try to justify their behavior. There are plenty of pro-hunting and pro-trapping websites available to visit if that is your intention. WE VOW is a refuge for people who view wildlife as something other than being “recruited” or “harvested” for recreational purposes. Hunters and trappers already have their voice heard all over the internet, in newspaper outdoor pages,  and in all levels of our government. WE VOW is a place for the rest of us to have a voice, the silent majority.

Please–can’t we have a more drcrnt world? Do we have to CREATE fear and pain and death? I think peaceloving, kins people still outnumber the ugly hating ones. Why won’t our legislators listen to us? Do we have to yell and scream and carry guns to get their respect?

It sure seems that way. WE are the majority and I can guarantee that if things like hounding and trapping were put to statewide ballot initiatives they would be banned. The lawmakers in this state represent a small minority of citizens and the rest of us are just supposed to accept that. Please remember that when you vote.

That is a beautiful photograph of a wolf at the top of the page. Thank you for that.
I’m wondering what all the people with the wolf on their license plate (that they paid extra for) think of the wolf hunt. They should get their money back.

Most of those people didn’t even know that that most of the money from the wolf plates went to a fund that reimbursed bear hounders whose dogs were killed by wolves. I know for a fact that the DNR of this state will not get one dime from me ever again.

I made the decision to continue purchasing the “Wolf” license plates. It is the only environmental plate offered by the state and also clearly and visibly shows anyone who looks at my plate WHAT I STAND FOR> for me it is a trade-off while knowing that the funds from the plates partially go to hound hunters….

It is sad and that it is putting it mildly.Insecure people thinking that their guns are going to be taken away from them and, somehow, I’m out to taking food out of their childrens mouths and thier livelihood and tradition. The NRA will never let that happen.I am so tired of helping people par take in their sport.I have a pass time, too.I wonder, if given the chance,to tell the head hanchos, that I need some legislaton to be passed in order to do it. I like to explore with out watching out for people in orange and combat figues and their assortment of ammo and gear. Why do I have to wear the orange outfit or some bright in order not to be shot. Most of us, where I live do not go out during hunting season.

Aren’t there any loopholes about the wolves or about too much violence? Are violent video games under seige in Wisconisin? I am trying to think of a legal way to stop this wolf hunting. There must be something!

Enough is enough. Close the loopholes and stop killing wolves and other wildlife. No more cruelty.

the one that makes me the sickest to the point of crying, is the idiiot who Is a gov’t employee, In the west, he’s in the foreground laughing and talking, while a wolf is in the background, with it’s foot in a trap, there is a circle of blood around him, and the guy is still having a ball, then he turns around and shoots the wolf, you can see it being hit, curling around, it’s tail flailing. it is the worst thing I have ever seen, it is on u-tube. so unfeeling, what kind of people are these, who can do this to an animal?then laugh and think nothing of it’s pain, even now, it hurts me to picture it. I think the I will call him an idiot again, I won’t call him what I want to………….I think he is the predator.
